Don't Make Me Explode

I am incredibly tired right now.  Last night, my friend George and I braved the cold and snow to venture into New York City, to see The Hold Steady play at the Mercury Lounge.  The weather was freezing, but it was completely worth it.  The Hold Steady always puts on a great show, and we also got to see a set from Minneapolis rapper P.O.S, who performed solo with the beats coming from his I-Pod.  It was a great show, and I got to mingle with some indie-rock celebrities, and work on booking some of WSTK's shows coming up in the next few months (Man, I gotta say, I REALLY can't wait to get these confirmed, because BELIEVE me, if we get them all set, they are going to be GREAT.  I mean it, great as in "Make sure you can get the day/night off just to see it, because it will be worth it.")

(Craig Finn(l.) and Tad Kubler(r.) of The Hold Steady, live at The Mercury Lounge, 1/19/05):

Speaking of shows, alot are selling out left and right.  I noticed last night that the final Sea Ray show is already sold out (Which sucks, but then again, I should've seen coming), and Sleater-Kinney's shows sold out before I even knew they were on sale.  Fortunatly, I still got my ticket to see Ted Leo again next month, with Dillinger Escape Plan, and Aesop-Rock (Which could very well qualify as THE weirdest lineup I've ever seen).

Anyways, it looks like it's going to be a crazy few months coming up - crazy, but exciting - as HELL!!!
